AOC CBO SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J7M 10G 7M aktívny optický kábel

The AOC CBO SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J7M 10G 7M Active Optical Cable is a factory-terminated, fixed-length 7-metre SFP+ solution for short-range data center and enterprise interconnects. Built for 10 Gigabit links between servers, switches and storage devices, this active optical cable uses optical signaling to deliver low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity with lower power draw and reduced heat compared with equivalent copper direct attach cables. The compact SFP+ form factor ensures compatibility with standard SFP+ ports on network equipment that supports active optical modules.

Advantages

This BlueOptics active optical cable provides reliable 10 Gbps throughput with consistent signal integrity over its 7 m length. Optical transmission reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk in dense rack environments, while the active components within the cable maintain stable link performance over temperature variations. The fixed-length design simplifies inventory and cable management, and the lower power consumption compared to copper alternatives helps reduce cooling requirements in high-density installations.

Suitable for

• Short-range 10 Gigabit connections between servers and top-of-rack switches
• Storage area network links and SAN aggregation within the same rack or adjacent racks
• High-density data centre interconnects where reduced EMI and compact cabling are required
• Environments that prefer lower power consumption and reduced heat generation compared to copper DACs

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ on both ends (10 Gb/s)
• Transmission medium: multimode optical fiber with active electronics
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit per second
• Fixed length: 7 metres
• Latency: low, suitable for short-range, low-latency links
• Power: lower power consumption compared to copper direct-attach alternatives

How to use

Install the AOC CBO SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J7M by inserting each SFP+ connector into the SFP+ port of the corresponding network devices until the latch engages. Ensure both devices support active optical SFP+ modules and are configured for 10 Gb/s operation. Verify link status via device LEDs or network management interfaces and confirm negotiated speed and duplex. Route the 7 m cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; secure excess length to maintain proper bend radius and prevent connector stress.

Recommendations

Use this active optical cable for short-reach 10G interconnects within racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid sharp bends and exposure to excessive pulling force. Confirm device compatibility with SFP+ active optical modules and check firmware or vendor documentation if link negotiation issues occur.
