BlueOptics AFBR-2CAR25Z-BC-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 25 m SFP+ aqua

The BlueOptics AFBR-2CAR25Z-BC-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 25 m SFP+ Aqua is a 25-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors designed for high-speed links in data centers and enterprise networks. The cable uses multimode optical transmission with integrated transceivers on each end to support 10 Gbit/s applications over a 25 m distance. The Aqua-coloured jacket aids cable identification and routing in dense rack and patch environments while the male SFP+ ends follow MSA-compatible mechanical and electrical interfaces for straightforward hot-plug installation.

Advantages

This AOC provides low-latency, electromagnetic-interference-free data transfer by using optical transmission and integrated transmitter/receiver modules. Its 25 m length covers common rack-to-rack and row-to-row connections without the need for separate transceivers or patch cords at both ends. Compliance with SFP+ form-factor conventions ensures broad compatibility with switches, routers and storage systems that accept SFP+ AOCs, and the multimode design supports established 10GBASE-SR and InfiniBand use cases.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack connections in data centres
• High-speed interconnects between switches and servers
• Storage area network links and SAN fabrics
• InfiniBand and 10G Ethernet short-reach links

Key specifications

• Length: 25 metres
• Connector type: SFP+ male to SFP+ male
• Data rate support: up to 10 Gbit/s
• Optical medium: multimode fibre with active transceivers integrated
• Colour: aqua jacket for easy identification
• Protocol support: Ethernet 10GBASE-SR and InfiniBand compatible short-reach applications

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port until the latch clicks; ensure both network devices are powered off or follow hot-plug procedures recommended by the device manufacturer. Route the cable through the rack or cable management system, avoiding sharp bends and excessive pulling force. The integrated transceivers are recognized by most SFP+-compatible ports; verify link status and speed in the device management interface after installation.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short-reach 10 Gbit/s or InfiniBand links inside racks or between adjacent rows. Maintain minimum bend radii and avoid mechanical stress; keep the connectors capped when not in use. For interoperability, check that your hardware platform supports SFP+ active optical cables and the relevant short-reach protocols before deployment.
