Aktívny optický kábel 5 m, CBO SFP28-AOC-5M-DL-BO (SFP28, 5m)

Active Optical Cable 5 m, CBO SFP28-AOC-5M-DL-BO is a pre-terminated SFP28 AOC designed for 25GbE connections over short to medium distances. The cable combines optical fiber and integrated transceivers to provide a single, factory-terminated link that plugs directly into SFP28 ports on switches, servers and transceivers. The 5 meter length reduces the need for separate transceivers and patch cords while maintaining signal integrity and minimizing connector loss in high-density network environments.

Advantages

The Active Optical Cable offers lower insertion loss compared with multiple connectorized segments and reduces potential points of failure by using a single, pre-made assembly. Its SFP28 compatibility ensures straightforward installation into existing 25GbE port hardware without additional configuration. The optical construction provides immunity to electromagnetic interference and supports stable high-speed data transfer across the specified 5 m reach.

Suitable for

• Direct server-to-switch connections in data centers
• Interconnects between top-of-rack and aggregation switches
• High-density network racks requiring compact, pre-terminated links
• Short- to medium-reach 25GbE links in enterprise and campus networks

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 modules integrated on both ends
• Length: 5 meters
• Data rate: supports 25 Gigabit Ethernet (25GbE)
• Transmission medium: active optical fiber with integrated electronics
• Operating environment: suitable for use in typical data center rack and cabinet conditions
• Mechanical: pre-terminated one-piece cable assembly for reduced connector interfaces

How to use

Insert each SFP28 end of the Active Optical Cable into the corresponding SFP28 port of the devices to be connected, ensuring the module is fully seated and the retaining latch is engaged. No separate transceivers or patch cords are required. After installation, verify link status through device LEDs or management interfaces and confirm port speed is negotiated at 25GbE where supported. When removing the cable, release the latch and pull the module straight out to avoid damaging the port.

Recommendations

The AOC is intended for fixed-length point-to-point links; avoid bending the cable beyond manufacturer-recommended radii and protect ports from excessive force. Use in appropriate density environments where a 5 m reach matches rack or cabinet spacing, and check device compatibility lists if vendor platform interoperability is critical.
