Aktívny optický kábel CBO SFP28-AOC-7M 7 m SFP28 kompatibilný s Coriant

The Active Optical Cable CBO SFP28-AOC-7M is a pre-terminated SFP28 form-factor fiber link engineered for reliable 25Gbps connections over a 7-meter span. Designed for data center and high-speed network environments, this Active Optical Cable reduces electrical-to-optical conversion by providing a direct optical link between SFP28 ports. The cable simplifies cabling topology, lowers latency compared with some copper alternatives, and is compatible with systems that accept SFP28 optical modules.

Advantages

This 7 m SFP28 Active Optical Cable delivers a consistent 25Gbps data rate with low latency and reduced electromagnetic interference risk compared to copper. The pre-terminated design eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, simplifying installation and inventory. Its form-factor compatibility with SFP28 ports ensures straightforward deployment for top-of-rack and switch-to-switch links, while the optical medium supports longer distances and improved signal integrity in dense rack environments.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack connectivity in data centers
• Switch-to-switch high-speed links
• Server uplinks and blade server interconnects
• High-density network racks requiring low-latency 25Gbps links

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 active optical cable
• Data rate: 25 Gbps (per link)
• Length: 7 meters
• Medium: optical fiber with integrated transceivers
• Latency: low, suitable for high-performance networking
• Interference: immune to electromagnetic interference typical of fiber links
• Compatibility: designed for devices with SFP28 ports supporting AOC modules

How to use

Install the Active Optical Cable by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the network devices until the latch engages. Ensure ports are powered down or follow hot-swap procedures recommended by your hardware vendor if connecting to live equipment. Verify link status via the device management interface and confirm that the interface is configured for 25Gbps operation. Avoid excessive bending of the cable beyond the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and secure the cable to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable in rack environments with properly managed airflow and secure routing. Validate interoperability with your switches and servers in a test environment when possible and monitor link status after deployment. Keep the connector dust caps until ready to install and avoid sharp bends or tight cable ties to preserve optical performance.
