AOC aktívny optický kábel CBO SFP-AOC-10G-5M 10 Gbps, 5 m, SFP+ na SFP+

AOC active optical cable CBO SFP-AOC-10G-5M provides a 10 Gbps SFP+ connection over a 5 m optical link. Designed for direct SFP+ to SFP+ connectivity, this AOC removes the need for separate transceivers by combining optical fiber and SFP+ connectors in a single pre-terminated cable. Its compact design and low power consumption make it suitable for short-reach, high-bandwidth links inside data centers, between switches, or connecting servers to top-of-rack switches.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers a stable 10 Gbps link with minimal latency and reduced electromagnetic interference compared to copper alternatives. Pre-terminated SFP+ connectors simplify installation and reduce inventory complexity. The integrated optical assembly lowers heat generation and power draw versus discrete transceiver-plus-cable solutions, and the 5 m length covers typical rack-to-rack and intra-rack distances without excess slack.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 10 Gbps connections in data centers
• Switch-to-switch links within the same room or rack
• Server-to-switch uplinks in enterprise and cloud environments
• High-bandwidth applications requiring low latency and low EMI

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Connector type: SFP+ to SFP+
• Length: 5 m
• Transmission medium: Active optical cable (single assembly with integrated transceivers)
• Typical use: Short-reach optical interconnects
• Power profile: Low power consumption compared with separate transceiver solutions

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your network devices while the devices are powered on or per vendor guidance. Ensure ports support 10 Gbps SFP+ AOC modules and that firmware or driver settings are compatible with active optical cables. Secure cable routing to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress on the connectors; the cable requires no field termination or additional optics.

Recommendations

Verify compatibility with your switch or server vendor before deployment and follow rack cable management best practices to maintain bend radius and airflow. For optimal performance, avoid tight bends and protect the SFP+ connectors during installation and when moving equipment.
