AOC aktívny optický kábel CBO SFP28-AOC-7M 7 m, SFP28 na SFP28, 25 Gbit/s

The AOC SFP28-AOC-7M is a 7 meter active optical cable with SFP28 connectors on both ends, supporting a 25 Gbps data rate. Designed for use in data center and enterprise environments, this BlueOptics cable provides optical connectivity for server-to-switch, switch-to-switch, and storage interconnects. Compared with copper direct attach cables (DACs), the active optical design offers longer reach, immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI), and reduced signal attenuation, while maintaining low latency and simple hot-pluggable operation.

Advantages

This 7 m SFP28 active optical cable delivers reliable 25 Gbps links with stable signal integrity over longer distances than copper alternatives. The integrated optical transceivers reduce the need for separate modules and fiber patching, simplifying rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment cabling. The cable’s immunity to EMI makes it suitable for dense installations, and its lightweight, flexible construction eases routing in cable management systems.

Suitable for

• High-speed server to switch connections in data centers
• Switch-to-switch uplinks and spine-leaf topologies
• Storage area network (SAN) interconnects
• Rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment links where 7 m reach is required

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 to SFP28
• Length: 7 meters
• Nominal data rate: 25 Gbps
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Low-latency optical transmission suitable for high-throughput environments
• Immunity to electromagnetic interference

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the latch clicks. No separate optical transceivers or fiber patch cords are required. After installation, verify link status and speed through device management interfaces or LEDs. For removal, depress the connector latch and pull straight out to avoid stressing the cable or port.

Recommendations

Route and secure the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tensile stress. Maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer and avoid kinking. Use clear labeling at both ends for easier maintenance and verify compatibility with device vendor SFP28 port firmware if required.
