AOC CBO AOC-S-S-25G-2M-BO 2 m SFP28 aktívny optický kábel 25 Gbit/s konektor samec–konektor samec

Active Optical Cable CBO AOC-S-S-25G-2M-BO is a 2 m SFP28 direct-attach cable engineered for 25 Gbit/s links between servers, switches and storage systems. The cable features SFP28 male connectors on both ends and uses optical transmission to lower electromagnetic interference compared with copper DACs. Its compact length and low power profile make it appropriate for short-reach data center links, top-of-rack and rack-to-rack connections where consistent high-speed signaling and low latency are required.

Advantages

The AOC delivers 25 Gbit/s full-duplex throughput over a 2 m optical link while maintaining low latency and reduced electromagnetic emissions. Being an active optical assembly, it consumes less power than some optical transceiver plus patch-cord combinations and avoids bulkier copper cabling. The SFP28 male interfaces provide hot-pluggable connectivity compatible with SFP28 ports, and the optical medium improves signal integrity for dense rack environments.

Suitable for

• Short-reach data center interconnects between servers and switches
• Top-of-rack and rack-to-rack connections in high-density racks
• High-performance storage networking and compute clusters
• Low-latency applications requiring stable 25 Gbit/s links

Key specifications

• Data rate: 25 Gbit/s full duplex
• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Cable type: Active optical cable
• Length: 2 metres
• Typical use: Short-reach rack and data center links
• Latency: low, suitable for real-time traffic
• Power: low power consumption compared to some transceiver+patch solutions

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on network equipment until the module latches. Ensure compatible SFP28 ports and firmware support 25 Gbit/s AOCs before deployment. Route the 2 m cable within the rack or between adjacent racks avoiding sharp bends and contact with hot surfaces. For removal, press the release latch on the SFP28 connector and pull straight out to prevent damage.

Recommendations

Install the cable in clean rack environments and keep bend radius above the manufacturer's minimum to preserve optical performance. Verify link speed and port compatibility in network equipment settings; when mixing different vendors, check interoperability notes. For best results in high-density deployments, label both ends and manage slack to reduce strain on connectors.
