AOC CBO SFP-AOC-10G-50M aktívny optický kábel 10Gbps, 50 m, SFP+

Active Optical Cable (AOC) CBO SFP-AOC-10G-50M is a factory-terminated, pluggable SFP+ direct-attach solution that delivers 10 Gbps links over a 50-m optical channel. Designed for short-reach trunking between switches, servers and storage in data centres and enterprise networks, this AOC removes the need for separate transceivers and patch cords while providing low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference.

Advantages

This SFP+ Active Optical Cable offers consistent 10Gbps throughput across a 50 metre link with lower power consumption compared with equivalent copper cabling. Being an active optical assembly, it provides inherent EMI resistance, reduced crosstalk and predictable signal integrity over the specified distance. The integrated SFP+ connectors simplify inventory and deployment by eliminating separate transceivers and fibre patching.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack and end-of-row switch interconnects
• Server-to-switch connections in dense rack environments
• Storage area network (SAN) and NAS uplinks requiring 10Gbps
• High-performance computing clusters and aggregation links

Key specifications

• Nominal data rate: 10 Gbps (SFP+ compatible)
• Cable type: active multimode optical assembly
• Connector form factor: SFP+ on both ends (hot-pluggable)
• Maximum supported link length: 50 metres
• Latency: low, suitable for latency-sensitive applications
• Immunity: resistant to electromagnetic interference (EMI)
• Typical application: short-reach data centre interconnects

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ plug into the corresponding SFP+ port on your switches, servers or storage devices while the hosts are powered according to your equipment vendor guidelines. The cable is hot-pluggable and requires no separate transceivers or fibre patching; link negotiation and speed are handled automatically by compatible network interfaces. Verify link LEDs or management interfaces to confirm a stable 10Gbps connection and monitor for proper optical link state after deployment.

Recommendations

Route and secure the cable to avoid strain on the SFP+ connectors. Maintain bend radius consistent with manufacturer guidance and keep the optical ends and connector housings free from debris. Use this AOC within rack and cable management pathways in data centres; it is intended for indoor use in controlled environments and should not replace long-reach optical transceivers for links beyond the specified 50 m.
