AOC SFP+ pasívny direct-attach kábel CBO SFP-AOC-10G-7M 10 Gbit/s 7 m

The AOC SFP+ Passive Direct Attach Cable CBO SFP-AOC-10G-7M 10Gbps 7m is a fixed-assembly active optical cable designed for short-reach 10 Gigabit Ethernet links. Manufactured by BlueOptics under the CBO series, this 7-metre SFP+ AOC connects SFP+ ports on switches, servers and storage systems without separate transceivers. It delivers low-latency, low-power data transmission for top-of-rack, aggregation and server interconnect applications where a permanent, reliable 10Gbps link is required.

Advantages

This 10Gbps AOC provides a compact, plug-and-play solution that eliminates the need for separate optical transceivers, reducing power consumption and simplifying inventory. The 7-metre fixed cable offers predictable signal integrity and consistent performance for short-distance connections inside racks or between adjacent racks. The passive design minimizes latency and maintains a stable 10Gbps throughput, making it suitable for environments that require low overhead and straightforward installation.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack (TOR) switch uplinks
• Server-to-switch and server-to-storage interconnects
• Aggregation links within data centres and equipment rooms
• Short-reach 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections up to 7 metres

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ fixed-assembly active optical cable
• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Cable length: 7 metres
• Latency: low-latency passive AOC characteristics
• Power: lower power consumption compared with separate transceiver plus fibre
• Compatibility: designed for SFP+ ports on switches, servers and storage devices

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your switch, server or storage device until the latch engages. Ensure both ends are seated correctly and verify link LEDs on the devices to confirm a 10Gbps connection. No separate transceivers, optical modules or fibre patch cords are required. For best results, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress on the connectors and secure it within the rack to prevent accidental disconnection.

Recommendations

Use this passive AOC for permanent or semi-permanent short-distance links inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid excessive bending radii, exposure to liquids or extreme temperatures, and frequent unplug/replug cycles that could wear connector latches. Verify compatibility with your equipment vendor's SFP+ port policies if required by your infrastructure standards.
