AOC SFP28 aktívny optický kábel CBO AOC-SFP28-CABLE-7M-BO 7 m, 25 Gbit/s

AOC SFP28 Active Optical Cable CBO AOC-SFP28-CABLE-7M-BO is a 7 m SFP28 direct-attach solution that supports a 25 Gbit/s data rate. Designed for short-reach connections in data centers and enterprise networks, this active optical cable provides a compact optical link in an SFP28 form factor suitable for connecting servers, switches and storage devices while conserving rack space and reducing electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives.

Advantages

The cable delivers low-latency, high-bandwidth transmission at 25 Gbit/s over a 7 m optical channel, combining the small form factor of SFP28 modules with the signal integrity of optical fiber. Its active design optimizes power and signal conditioning for reliable data transfer and supports hot-pluggable operation in compatible SFP28 ports. The lightweight fiber construction eases cable management and helps maintain airflow in dense rack environments.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack and end-of-row switch-to-server connections
• High-performance storage networking and SAN interconnects
• Short-reach aggregation links in data centers and enterprise LANs
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference compared to copper cabling

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 duplex optical transceiver form factor
• Maximum data rate: 25 Gbit/s
• Cable length: 7 meters
• Transmission medium: active optical fiber
• Latency: low-latency design suitable for high-throughput applications
• Compatibility: designed for SFP28 ports and comparable 25G interfaces

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 end into the corresponding SFP28 port on the devices to be connected, ensuring the connectors click into place. Verify that both endpoints detect the module and negotiate the expected 25 Gbit/s link speed. For removal, press the release mechanism on the SFP28 port and gently extract the module. Handle the optical connectors by their housings and avoid bending the fiber beyond recommended radii to preserve signal integrity.

Recommendations

Use this active optical cable in short-reach 25G environments where an SFP28 form factor is required. Avoid tight bends and sharp kinks; route the cable to maintain airflow and prevent mechanical strain. Confirm firmware and port compatibility on networking equipment to ensure proper link establishment.
