BlueOptics CBL-QSFP+AOC-7M-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 7 m konektor samec/samec

The BlueOptics CBL-QSFP+AOC-7M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 7m Male/Male is a 7-metre active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP connectors designed for high-speed links in data centres and high-performance computing environments. It provides a QSFP-to-QSFP male/male connection using multi-mode fibre with integrated transmitter and receiver electronics on each end, and is compatible with 40GBASE-SR4 and InfiniBand applications supported by platforms that accept QSFP AOC modules.

Advantages

This 7 m Active Optical Cable combines low-latency optical transmission with reduced electromagnetic interference compared to copper alternatives. The integrated transceivers on both ends simplify installation and ensure signal integrity over the full 7-metre length. Its QSFP male/male configuration enables direct connections between QSFP ports without additional transceivers, supporting multi-protocol use including Ethernet and InfiniBand at aggregated line rates up to 40 Gbit/s where supported by the connected hardware.

How to use

Ensure both endpoints support QSFP AOC modules and the target protocol (for example 40GBASE-SR4 or compatible InfiniBand configuration). Align and insert the QSFP male connectors into the QSFP ports until the latch engages; avoid forcing the connector. Use appropriate cable routing to maintain bend radius and prevent mechanical strain. Power on connected equipment and verify link status according to the equipment vendor's diagnostics. If firmware or port configuration is required, follow the hardware manufacturer's instructions to enable 40G or InfiniBand operation.

Recommendations

Maintain recommended minimum bend radius for the AOC, avoid compression or sharp bends, and keep the connectors protected from dust when not plugged in. Confirm compatibility with the target hardware platform and, if necessary, request a test sample to verify full interoperability prior to large-scale deployment.
