CBO AOC SFP28 aktívny optický kábel 20 m pre Nokia SFP28 porty

CBO AOC SFP28 Active Optical Cable 20 m for Nokia SFP28 ports is a factory-terminated fiber-optic direct-attach solution designed for SFP28-compatible devices. The 20-metre active optical cable provides a single-cable SFP28-to-SFP28 connection supporting 25GbE and other SFP28 link rates. The optical design reduces electromagnetic interference and signal attenuation over longer distances compared with copper DACs, making it suitable for data center interconnects, server-to-switch links and high-speed backbone connections.

Advantages

The cable delivers low latency and stable high-speed transmission across a 20 m reach while remaining hot-pluggable in standard SFP28 ports. As an active optical solution, it offers improved electromagnetic immunity and lower weight compared to copper alternatives, with consistent performance for 25GbE links. The factory-terminated modules require no field polishing or splicing, simplifying installation and reducing potential points of failure.

Suitable for

• 25GbE server-to-switch connections in data centers
• Switch-to-switch or spine-to-leaf interconnects within racks and across adjacent racks
• High-speed backbone links where low latency and EMI immunity are required

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 to SFP28 active optical cable
• Length: 20 metres
• Supported link rate: 25 Gigabit Ethernet (SFP28-compatible)
• Transmission medium: active optical fiber
• Connector type: SFP28 hot-pluggable modules at both ends
• Typical advantages: low latency, electromagnetic immunity, reduced weight compared to copper

How to use

Install the CBO AOC by inserting each SFP28 module into the corresponding SFP28 port on the devices to be connected. Ensure the devices are compatible with SFP28 optical modules and configured for the intended link rate. No additional transceivers or fiber patching are required. Verify link status on both devices and monitor connection parameters through the network equipment management interface.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive mechanical strain; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer for active optical cables. Use the 20 m length for intra-data-center runs where optical reach and EMI immunity are needed; for longer spans consult optical reach specifications of the equipment. Handle the SFP28 modules by their housing and avoid touching the optical interfaces directly.
