CBO AOC SFP28 Juniper 740-084665 3 m aktívny optický kábel pre SFP28 porty

CBO AOC SFP28 Juniper 740-084665 3 m optical active cable for SFP28 ports is an active optical cable (AOC) designed for SFP28 interfaces and compatible with Juniper network equipment. With a 3 meter length and SFP28 plug-and-play form factor, the cable supports 25GbE/25G links and is intended to provide high-bandwidth, low-latency connections between switches, servers and storage systems while reducing electromagnetic interference and simplifying cabling.

Advantages

The active optical design delivers long-reach signal integrity and lower power consumption compared with comparable electrical copper twinax cables. The SFP28 form factor ensures direct compatibility with SFP28 ports and enables passive installation without additional transceivers or modules. Optical transmission minimizes susceptibility to EMI and crosstalk and supports consistent 25GbE performance suitable for data center top-of-rack and leaf-spine deployments.

Suitable for

• 25GbE connections between switches in data center top-of-rack and aggregation layers
• Direct links from servers to switches for high-throughput applications
• Interconnects for storage systems, NVMe over Fabrics endpoints, and compute clusters

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 active optical cable
• Supported data rate: 25 Gigabit Ethernet (25GbE)
• Cable type: active optical fiber
• Length: 3 meters
• Compatibility: SFP28 ports on Juniper equipment (plug-and-play)
• Signal characteristics: low latency, high bandwidth, reduced EMI susceptibility

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the devices to be connected, ensuring the latch clicks into place. No additional configuration is required for standard SFP28 ports when the equipment supports compatible AOC modules; the cable is recognized as an optical link and begins carrying traffic once physical link negotiation completes. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and secure it to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, maintain a minimum bend radius consistent with optical cable handling guidelines, avoid excessive pulling force during installation, and deploy the cable in equipment and environments that support SFP28 AOC modules. Verify firmware and port settings on Juniper devices if link negotiation issues occur, and test connectivity after installation to confirm 25GbE performance.
