CBO AOC Source Photonics SFP-AOC-10G-30M 10G aktívny optický kábel 30 m

CBO AOC Source Photonics SFP-AOC-10G-30M 10G Active Optical Cable 30 m is a factory-terminated duplex active optical cable engineered for SFP+ ports and 10 Gigabit links over a 30-metre fibre connection. The cable integrates optical transceivers at both ends to provide a passive-free AOC solution that reduces electromagnetic interference and cable bulk compared with copper alternatives. It is intended for short to medium reach connections inside racks, between adjacent racks or across data hall aisles where low latency and reliable 10G performance are required.

Advantages

The AOC delivers 10Gbps throughput with low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference, eliminating the need for separate transceiver modules and additional patch cords. Its factory-terminated duplex fibre construction reduces installation time and physical cable volume in dense cabling environments. Compatibility with SFP+ ports ensures straightforward integration into existing 10G network equipment designed for optical SFP+ form factors.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch interconnects within data centres
• Top-of-rack and end-of-row 10G connections
• High-density cabling scenarios where space and heat reduction are priorities

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gigabit per second (10G)
• Reach: 30 metres over duplex multimode fibre
• Form factor: SFP+ active optical cable with integrated transceivers
• Connector type: SFP+ compatible ends for direct insertion into SFP+ ports
• Signal characteristics: low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference

How to use

Insert each SFP+ end of the active optical cable into the corresponding SFP+ port on the two devices to be connected, ensuring proper orientation until the module latches. No external transceivers, patch panels or separate fibre terminations are required. Verify link status and speed on both connected devices and, if necessary, configure interface settings in the network equipment to enable 10G operation. Handle the duplex fibre cable by its reinforced jacket and avoid tight bends or kinks to maintain optical performance.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, maintain minimum bend radii specified by the manufacturer, keep the connector end faces clean, and route the cable to avoid mechanical stress and sources of excessive heat. Use this AOC inside data centre and enterprise environments where SFP+ optical interfaces are supported.
