CBO DAC kábel pre Palo Alto Networks SFP28-DAC-1M 1 m pasívny direct-attach medený

CBO DAC cable for Palo Alto Networks SFP28-DAC-1M 1 m passive direct-attach copper is a 1 metre passive direct-attach copper (DAC) cable compatible with SFP28 form-factor ports. It provides a direct electrical connection for short-range 25GbE links between adjacent switches, routers or server NICs without the need for optical transceivers. The cable is a plug-and-play solution designed for low latency and low power consumption in rack-to-rack or shelf-to-shelf installations.

Advantages

The passive DAC cable offers a straightforward, cost-effective way to connect 25GbE SFP28 ports with minimal configuration. As a copper direct-attach solution it reduces power usage and avoids the cost and complexity of optics. Its 1 m length is suited for short, high-bandwidth connections inside racks or between neighboring equipment, providing stable transmission with low latency and simple hot-plug installation.

Suitable for

• Short-range 25GbE connections between adjacent switches
• Direct links from server NICs to top-of-rack or leaf switches
• Rack-to-rack or shelf-to-shelf cabling within data centres
• Environments where low latency and reduced power consumption are important

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28-compatible direct-attach copper
• Data rate: designed for 25 Gigabit Ethernet links
• Length: 1 metre
• Type: passive copper twinax DAC
• Use case: short-reach interconnects inside racks and between adjacent equipment

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28-compatible end into the corresponding SFP28 port on the network devices until the connector latches. The cable requires no additional optics or configuration on most compatible devices and supports hot-plugging. Verify link status and speed via the device management interface after connection. For optimal operation, use on compatible 25GbE SFP28 ports and ensure both ends are seated firmly.

Recommendations

Use the 1 m passive DAC for short, direct connections inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid sharp bends, excessive pulling force, and exposure to liquids or extreme temperatures. Check device compatibility lists for SFP28 form-factor support and firmware recommendations if available.
