CBO InfiniBand aktívny optický kábel 10G SFP+ 10 m oranžový (model 10G-SFPP-AOC-1001-BO)

CBO InfiniBand Active Optical Cable 10G SFP+ 10 m Orange is a 10-metre active optical cable designed for direct 10 Gigabit connections between SFP+ ports. The cable provides a factory-terminated fiber link that eliminates the need for separate transceivers, delivering low latency, electrical isolation and consistent 10G throughput for short- to medium-range interconnects in racks and data halls. Its orange jacket makes routing and identification straightforward in dense cabling environments.

Advantages

The active optical design ensures reliable 10 Gigabit performance with reduced power consumption compared to some optical module plus patch-cord combinations. As a direct SFP+ cable, it simplifies installation by removing the need to install separate transceivers and patch fibers. The fiber construction provides electrical isolation between connected devices, which can reduce interference and improve signal integrity in mixed-power equipment racks.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between switches and top-of-rack equipment
• Server-to-switch 10G uplinks in data centres
• Storage array connectivity requiring 10 Gigabit links
• Short- to medium-distance InfiniBand-compatible links within racks or across adjacent racks

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ plug-to-plug active optical cable
• Nominal link speed: 10 Gigabit per second
• Length: 10 metres
• Cable colour: orange for easy identification
• Latency: low-latency fiber transmission suitable for InfiniBand-compatible use
• Electrical isolation: optical medium provides galvanic isolation between ports

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on devices while the equipment is powered down or following the vendor’s hot-plug guidance. Ensure connectors are fully seated and that device firmware or driver support is enabled for direct-attach AOC cables. Route the cable to avoid tight bends; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and secure the cable to prevent strain on connectors. After installation, verify link status and speed on both ends using device management interfaces.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force. Use the orange jacket as a visual indicator for 10G AOC runs and keep the cable away from high-heat sources. Confirm compatibility with your switches and servers for SFP+ AOC support and update device firmware if necessary to ensure proper link negotiation.
