CBO SFP+ aktívny optický kábel SFP-AOC-10G-3M 10Gbit/s 3 m

The CBO SFP+ Active Optical Cable SFP-AOC-10G-3M is a 3-meter SFP+ form-factor direct-attach solution that delivers 10Gbps full-duplex connectivity over an active fiber link. Engineered for short-range, high-bandwidth interconnects, this AOC integrates optical transceivers into the cable ends, eliminating the need for separate modules and simplifying rack-to-rack and switch-to-server cabling. The cable supports standard SFP+ ports and is suitable for environments that require reliable 10G links with low latency and minimal installation effort.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers low power consumption, consistent 10Gbps throughput in both directions, and immunity to electromagnetic interference due to its optical transmission. The integrated SFP+ connectors reduce inventory and installation complexity compared with separate transceivers and fiber patch cords. A 3 m length provides flexibility for typical rack-to-rack or in-rack interconnects while preserving signal integrity and minimizing latency.

Suitable for

• Switch-to-switch uplinks within or between racks
• Server-to-switch connections in data center topologies
• High-speed storage array links and SAN interconnects
• Short-range 10G aggregation links and access layer connections

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP+ (integrated active optical cable)
• Data rate: 10 Gbps full-duplex
• Length: 3 meters
• Transmission medium: active multimode optical fiber
• Connector type: SFP+ pluggable ends (hot-pluggable)
• Typical latency: low, suitable for latency-sensitive links
• Power: low-power active module design

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP+ end into compatible SFP+ ports on network switches, servers or storage devices until the connector latches. No separate transceivers or patch cords are required; the device should recognise the AOC as a standard SFP+ link. Verify link status via the device management interface and ensure both ends are configured for 10Gbps operation. For hot-plugging, follow your equipment vendor’s guidelines to avoid transient link issues.

Recommendations

Use the 3 m AOC for short-range links within racks or between adjacent racks; avoid tight bends and sharp kinks in the cable, maintain minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer, and keep optical ports free of dust. Confirm port compatibility and firmware support on networking equipment to ensure reliable link negotiation at 10Gbps.
