CBO SFP28 aktívny optický kábel 5 m 25 Gbit/s SFP28-AOC-5M-SO-BO

CBO SFP28 Active Optical Cable 5m 25Gbps SFP28-AOC-5M-SO-BO is a 5-metre active optical cable engineered for 25 Gbps links over SFP28 interfaces. The integrated optical transceivers eliminate the need for separate pluggable modules, providing a compact direct-attach solution for short-reach interconnects. The cable is designed for low latency and maintained signal integrity across the full 5 m length, making it suitable for high-density networking environments such as data centre racks and server-to-switch connections.

Advantages

The cable integrates active optical components to deliver reliable 25 GbE performance while reducing power consumption and heat compared with equivalent copper solutions. Its pre-terminated design simplifies installation and reduces connector mating issues. As an optical link, it offers electrical isolation and lower electromagnetic interference sensitivity, which contributes to stable throughput and reduced error rates in densely cabled installations.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between switches within data centre racks
• Server-to-switch and storage-to-switch short-reach links
• High-density networking installations requiring 25 Gbps bandwidth
• Environments where reduced EMI and electrical isolation are preferred

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 form factor on both ends
• Length: 5 metres optical cable
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbps per lane
• Link type: active optical cable with integrated transceivers
• Typical use: short-reach interconnects within racks and adjacent equipment
• Latency: low-latency optical transmission suitable for networking and storage applications

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the networking devices until the latch engages. Ensure that both devices are powered and that the ports are configured for 25 GbE operation if required by the equipment. No separate transceivers or fibre termination are necessary. Monitor link status LEDs on connected devices to confirm link establishment and verify negotiated speed and duplex via device management interfaces.

Recommendations

Use the cable within rack or adjacent-rack distances and avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling to preserve optical performance. Verify compatibility with your switch or server vendor’s supported cable list where required, and keep firmware and port configurations up to date to ensure stable 25 Gbps links.
