DAC kábel CBO SFP28-DAC-5M 5 m pasívny medený SFP28 na SFP28

CBO DAC cable SFP28-DAC-5M is a 5-meter passive copper direct attach cable that connects SFP28 ports for short-reach 25GbE links. It provides a fixed electrical connection between compatible switches, network interface cards (NICs) and servers without requiring separate optical transceivers. The cable is intended for data centre top-of-rack and server-rack installations where a cost-effective, low-latency and power-efficient interconnect is required.

Advantages

The passive design reduces power consumption by eliminating active optics and transceivers, while plug-and-play compatibility simplifies installation and reduces configuration time. The fixed copper assembly delivers consistently low latency and predictable performance for short-distance 25GbE connections. With a 5 m length, the cable supports typical rack-to-rack and switch-to-server layouts without extra modules or fibre patching.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25GbE links between top-of-rack switches and aggregation switches
• Direct connections between servers and NICs supporting SFP28
• Interconnects inside server racks and adjacent racks within data centres
• Environments prioritising low latency and reduced power usage

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP28 to SFP28 electrical direct attach
• Data rate: 25 Gigabit Ethernet
• Length: 5 metres
• Cable type: Passive copper twinax
• Latency: low fixed-latency electrical link
• Deployment: designed for short-reach, within-rack and adjacent-rack connections

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your switch, server or NIC until the latch engages. Ensure both ends are fully seated and that the connected devices are powered and configured to use 25GbE links. No additional transceivers, power sources or media converters are required. Verify link status through device LEDs or management interfaces and monitor performance using standard network tools.

Recommendations

Use this passive DAC cable for short-distance connectivity within racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid routing the cable near high electromagnetic interference sources and ensure bend radius recommendations are followed to prevent mechanical stress. Check device compatibility lists for SFP28 passive direct attach support before deployment.
