BlueOptics ET5402-AOC-10M-BO InfiniBand/optický kábel SFP+ 10m konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics ET5402-AOC-10M-BO is a 10-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors, designed for high-speed InfiniBand and fibre optic links. This male-to-male SFP+ cable conforms to MSA-compatible SFP+ form factors and supports multimode optical signal transmission with integrated transmitters and receivers at each end. The cable is intended for short-reach, high-bandwidth interconnects in data centres and network environments where reliable 10G connections are required over a 10 m distance.

Advantages

The AOC design integrates optical transceivers and a multimode fibre core into a single, lightweight assembly that reduces electromagnetic interference and power consumption compared with direct-attached copper alternatives. Using SFP+ terminations on both ends ensures compatibility with a wide range of SFP+ ports that accept MSA-compliant modules, enabling straightforward plug-and-play installation. The 10-metre length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment connections without additional transceivers or patch panels.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics ET5402-AOC-10M-BO by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your network equipment until it latches. Ensure both devices support SFP+ modules and the required 10G link speed. No separate transceivers are required because the AOC contains the optical transmitter and receiver. After insertion, verify link status on your devices and confirm negotiated speed and duplex through the equipment management interface.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. Use the 10 m length for short-reach interconnects within racks or between adjacent racks. Confirm device compatibility with MSA-compliant SFP+ modules and validate link performance after installation using monitoring tools or built-in diagnostics.
