BlueOptics ET5402-AOC-7M-BO InfiniBand optický kábel SFP+ 7m konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics ET5402-AOC-7M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable SFP+ 7m Male/Male is a 7-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ to SFP+ connections designed for high-speed data transmission in networking and data centre environments. It uses integrated optical transmitters and receivers on each end and is built for multi-mode fibre links, supporting 10GBASE-SR class applications and compatible with hardware that accepts SFP+ AOC modules. The cable has male SFP+ connectors on both ends and is intended for short-reach, high-bandwidth interconnections between switches, routers, storage systems and other devices with SFP+ ports.

Advantages

The cable provides low-latency, high-bandwidth links suitable for 10 Gbit/s applications over a 7 metre span while maintaining compatibility with standard SFP+ interfaces and MSA-compliant form factors. As an active optical cable, it integrates the optical transceiver elements to deliver stable signal quality over multi-mode fibre, reduce electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives, and offer a lightweight, flexible connection suitable for dense rack environments.

How to use

Ensure both devices support SFP+ AOC modules and are powered down or follow live-insertion procedures recommended by the device manufacturer. Align the SFP+ male connector with the SFP+ port and insert until it seats and the retention mechanism engages. Repeat on the second device. After installation, verify link status and negotiated speed through the devices' management interfaces. For removal, release the retention mechanism and withdraw the connector evenly to avoid stress on ports.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short-reach connections up to 7 metres inside rack or cabinet environments; avoid sharp bends and kink points, maintain minimum bend radius as specified by the equipment vendor, and ensure connectors are clean and free from dust to preserve signal quality. Confirm compatibility with your specific switch, router or storage platform before deployment.
