BlueOptics Q28-AOC-3M-MT-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 3m QSFP28 konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics Q28-AOC-3M-MT-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 3m QSFP28 Male/Male is a 3-metre active optical cable designed to support high-speed InfiniBand links using QSFP28 connectors. It provides a direct, low-latency connection between compatible networking equipment in data centres and high-performance computing racks. The cable's QSFP28 male-to-male configuration simplifies installation between QSFP28 ports and reduces the need for transceivers.

Advantages

This InfiniBand fibre optic cable offers high bandwidth and low latency suitable for demanding data transmission tasks. Being an active optical cable, it delivers electrical-to-optical conversion within the assembly to maintain signal integrity over the 3 metre length while reducing electromagnetic interference. The QSFP28 connectors ensure compatibility with a wide range of QSFP28 interfaces and help maintain consistent performance in dense cabling environments.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting servers and switches in data centres
• High-performance computing (HPC) cluster links
• Low-latency storage area network (SAN) connections
• Rack-to-rack short-reach fibre links

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Connector type: QSFP28 male to QSFP28 male
• Length: 3 metres
• Application: InfiniBand high-speed data transmission
• Typical characteristics: low latency, high bandwidth, immunity to electromagnetic interference

How to use

Ensure both endpoints have QSFP28 ports and are powered down or follow hot-plug guidelines from the equipment manufacturer before insertion. Align the QSFP28 male connector with the device port and insert until the latch engages. For removal, depress the latch and pull the connector straight out to avoid stressing the cable assembly. Route the cable to minimize bends tighter than the manufacturer's recommended bend radius and avoid placing excessive weight on the cable to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short-reach, high-bandwidth links where QSFP28 connectivity is supported. Maintain clean connector interfaces and observe proper bend radius and strain relief practices to ensure long-term signal quality. Verify device compatibility and firmware support for QSFP28 AOC solutions before deployment.
