BlueOptics Q28-AOC-3M-NA-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 3m QSFP28 konektor

The BlueOptics Q28-AOC-3M-NA-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 3-meter active optical cable with QSFP28 male connectors on each end. Designed for high-throughput interconnects in data centers and enterprise networks, this cable supports low-latency, high-bandwidth links between switches, servers and storage systems. Its assembled QSFP28 interfaces ensure straightforward plug-and-play installation while the optical medium reduces electromagnetic interference and heat compared with copper alternatives.

Advantages

This 3 m InfiniBand cable provides high data-rate transmission with minimal signal loss and low latency suitable for performance-sensitive environments. The QSFP28 male connectors on both ends deliver reliable mechanical mating and stable optical alignment. As an active optical cable, it consumes less rack space and generates less heat than comparable copper assemblies, and it supports longer reach and immunity to electromagnetic interference.

Suitable for

• High-performance computing clusters and InfiniBand fabric interconnects
• Top-of-rack and end-of-row switch connections
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch links in data centers
• Low-latency storage area network connections

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Connector type: QSFP28 male on both ends
• Length: 3 meters
• Application: InfiniBand high-speed data transmission
• Performance: Designed for low latency and high bandwidth links
• Physical: Lightweight optical construction, reduced EMI compared to copper

How to use

Ensure both devices support QSFP28 interfaces and are powered off or follow hot-plug guidance from the device manufacturer. Align the QSFP28 connector with the port and insert until the latch engages. Verify link status through the host or switch management interface and confirm expected data rates. For removal, release the connector latch and withdraw the cable without bending the optical assembly sharply. Avoid twisting or compressing the cable to maintain optical performance.

Recommendations

Use in temperature-controlled data center environments and avoid routing near high-heat sources. Maintain minimum bend radii specified by general AOC handling practices and inspect connectors for contamination before insertion. For optimal reliability, operate within the network equipment vendor’s supported transceiver and cable configurations.
