SFP+ AOC CBO pre Fortinet SFP-AOC-10G-3M — 10 Gbit/s aktívny optický kábel, 3 m

BlueOptics SFP+ AOC CBO for Fortinet SFP-AOC-10G-3M is a 10Gbps active optical cable designed for short-distance multimode connections. This 3-meter SFP+ AOC plugs directly into SFP+ ports and provides a single-cable solution for high-speed uplinks between switches, servers and storage devices. The cable reduces electromagnetic interference and latency compared with copper alternatives and simplifies rack cabling by combining transceiver and fiber in one assembly.

Advantages

This 10 Gbps active optical cable supports full SFP+ form-factor connectivity and delivers consistent high-bandwidth performance over a 3 m multimode link. As an AOC it removes the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, offering a lightweight, low-power option that minimizes rack clutter. The optical construction reduces susceptibility to EMI and offers stable signal quality for short-range data center and campus interconnects.

Suitable for

• 10Gbps uplinks between network switches
• Connections between servers and top-of-rack switches
• Interconnecting storage arrays and SAN equipment
• Short-distance links in data centers and server rooms

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Connector type: SFP+ form factor (plug-and-play)
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC), multimode
• Length: 3 meters
• Power consumption: low (integrated electronics)
• Latency: low, suitable for high-performance networking
• EMI immunity: optical link minimizes electromagnetic interference

How to use

Insert each SFP+ end of the AOC into the corresponding SFP+ port until the latch engages. Ensure both devices support SFP+ AOC compatibility; the cable is intended for direct device-to-device connections without additional patch panels. After insertion, verify link status on both network devices and configure speed and duplex settings if required by the equipment. Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends near the ends to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use this 3 m AOC in environments where short, high-bandwidth links are required. Maintain bend radius recommendations from the manufacturer, avoid running the AOC parallel to high-power cables for long distances, and confirm device compatibility with Fortinet SFP+ ports or equivalent SFP+ interfaces prior to deployment.
