BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-ZY-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 15m konektor/konektor

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-ZY-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15m Male/Male is a 15-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors on both ends designed for high-speed data transfer in data centres and networking environments. It implements a transmitter and receiver pair on each end to transmit optical signals over multimode fibre and is built to meet 25GBASE-SR4 performance expectations for short-reach connections. The male-to-male SFP28 configuration ensures straightforward insertion into compatible SFP28 ports.

Advantages

This AOC provides a compact, low-latency connection with integrated optics that reduce the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. By using SFP28-to-SFP28 ends it preserves port density and compatibility with devices that support SFP28 modules. The 15-metre length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or within-rack connections while maintaining signal integrity suitable for 25 Gbps applications.

Suitable for

• High-speed server-to-switch and switch-to-switch links in data centres
• Short-reach InfiniBand or Ethernet 25 Gbps connections over multimode fibre
• Storage systems and SAN links requiring low-latency optical cabling
• Environments that require vendor-compatible SFP28 AOC solutions

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) over multimode fibre
• Nominal length: 15 metres
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbps per channel (25GBASE-SR4 class performance)
• Suitable applications: Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, InfiniBand short-reach links
• Form factor: hot-pluggable SFP28 AOC

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP28 AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your devices until the latch engages. Ensure both ends are seated firmly and that connected equipment is powered according to manufacturer procedures. No separate transceivers are required; the cable carries integrated transmitter and receiver modules. After physical installation, verify link status and speed in your switch or host interface management console and confirm that the connected devices support 25G SFP28 AOC modules.

Recommendations

Use this 15 m SFP28 AOC for intra-rack or adjacent-rack connections where 25 Gbps short-reach optical links are needed. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force on the fibre cable, keep the connectors clean and protected when not in use, and confirm device compatibility with vendor-supported SFP28 AOC modules to ensure reliable link operation.
