BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-3M-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 3 m SFP28 samec

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-3M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 3m SFP28 Male is a 3-meter active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28-to-SFP28 connectors designed for 25G high-speed data transmission over multimode fiber. The cable integrates transmitter and receiver modules at each end and follows MSA standards for SFP28/AOC modules. It is intended for direct connections between network switches, routers, storage systems and other compatible equipment in data centers and high-performance environments. The cable is supplied in an aqua colour and weighs approximately 0.15 kg.

Advantages

The BlueOptics AOC provides a single assembled optical link without the need for separate patch cords or field termination, reducing insertion loss and cleaning requirements. It supports up to 25 Gbit/s per lane for short-reach multimode applications and includes digital diagnostics (DDM/DOM) for real-time monitoring of supply voltage, laser bias current, transmit output power, received input power and temperature where supported by host hardware. Manufactured to MSA-compatible specifications and using industry-grade optical and electronic components, the cable is intended for long operational life and high availability in continuous-use environments.

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into matching SFP28 ports on the devices to be linked, ensuring the host equipment supports SFP28 AOC modules and, if required, DDM access. Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid excessive bending of the cable jacket; follow vendor guidelines for minimum bend radius. After seating the connectors, verify link status and, if available, read the digital diagnostics registers from the host to confirm operating parameters such as temperature and optical power levels.

Recommendations

Use the BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-3M-BO for short-reach interconnects inside racks or between adjacent racks where a 3 m active optical cable provides the required reach. Ensure the connected hardware officially supports SFP28 AOC modules and, for DDM monitoring, that the host platform exposes the DOM interface. Avoid tight bends, protect connectors from contamination, and store unused cables in a dust-free environment to maintain signal quality and maximize service life.
