CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q30M aktívny optický kábel, SFP28, 30 m, LC

CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q30M active optical cable is a factory-terminated SFP28 to LC AOC with a 30 m length designed for 25/28 GbE short-reach links. The cable integrates optical transceivers and a multimode fibre assembly in a single unit, enabling direct connection between SFP28 ports on switches, NICs and servers without separate pluggable modules. The construction offers low latency, immunity to electromagnetic interference and simplified rack-to-rack or cabinet-to-cabinet connectivity for modern data centre and enterprise network environments.

Advantages

The integrated active optical design reduces component count and rack space compared with discrete transceiver plus patch-fibre solutions, while delivering optical performance suitable for 25/28 Gigabit Ethernet links over a 30-m reach. The cable provides consistent signal integrity and low power consumption typical of factory-calibrated AOC assemblies, and its LC connector termination supports common SFP28 port layouts. Immunity to electromagnetic interference improves reliability in environments with dense electrical cabling.

Suitable for

• High-speed switch-to-switch or switch-to-server connections in data centres
• Top-of-rack and end-of-row short-reach optical links
• Server NIC connections supporting 25G/28G Ethernet
• Environments requiring immunity to electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 active optical cable with LC termination
• Nominal length: 30 metres
• Supported data rates: 25 Gbit/s and 28 Gbit/s Ethernet
• Connector type: LC duplex
• Optical medium: factory-terminated multimode optical fibre assembly
• Typical use: short-reach interconnects within racks and between adjacent cabinets

How to use

Insert the SFP28 ends into compatible SFP28 ports on switches, routers or network interface cards following the host equipment vendor's guidance for hot-plugging. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tensile stress; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended by the equipment or fibre manufacturer. The LC duplex connector mates with standard LC receptacles; ensure dust caps are removed immediately before insertion and that connector end faces are clean to prevent signal degradation.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, verify host compatibility with SFP28 AOC modules and confirm supported link speeds in the network equipment BIOS or firmware. Use appropriate cable management to prevent microbends, keep connectors clean with approved fibre cleaning tools, and avoid running the AOC alongside high-power electrical cabling where mechanical protection is required.
