Aktívny optický kábel CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q30M 30 m

The Active Optical Cable CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q30M 30 m is a pre-terminated SFP28 AOC designed for short-reach 25/28 Gbps optical links. It combines integrated SFP28 connectors with a 30 metre optical cable to provide a single, plug-and-play assembly for direct device-to-device connections. The cable eliminates the need for separate transceivers and copper twinax assemblies, reduces cable weight and bulk, and provides immunity to electromagnetic interference for reliable high-speed signal transmission in data centre and server environments.

Advantages

This SFP28 Active Optical Cable supports line rates suitable for 25 G and 28 G applications and offers a compact, pre-terminated solution that simplifies installation and reduces deployment time. Optical transmission over 30 metres maintains signal integrity without the heat and loss associated with some copper solutions. The integrated design lowers rack congestion and improves airflow compared with bulkier copper cabling, while the optical medium reduces susceptibility to electromagnetic interference.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch connections in data centres
• Top-of-rack switches to aggregation switches
• High-density switch-to-switch links requiring 25/28 Gbps
• Short-reach optical connections where reduced cable bulk is important

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 integrated optical connectors
• Data rate support: 25 Gbps and 28 Gbps class links
• Cable length: 30 metres
• Transmission medium: multimode optical fibre (active optical cable)
• Plug-and-play: pre-terminated, no separate transceivers required
• Immunity to electromagnetic interference: optical link
• Typical use: short-reach data centre interconnects and server links

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into compatible SFP28 ports on the devices you intend to connect. Ensure devices are powered down or that hot-swap procedures recommended by the device manufacturer are followed. Verify link status LEDs and device interface configuration to confirm successful negotiation at the intended data rate. Route the 30 m cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain minimum bend radius as recommended for optical assemblies.

Recommendations

Use this Active Optical Cable in data centre racks and short-path interconnects where 25/28 Gbps performance and reduced cable bulk are required. Check device compatibility with SFP28 AOC assemblies and follow vendor guidelines for connector insertion and removal. Avoid excessive bending and protect the connectors when not in use.
