CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q5M 5 m aktívny optický kábel pre 25Gbps pripojenia

The CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q5M is a 5 m active optical cable engineered for 25Gbps connections. The cable plugs into SFP28 ports and establishes a direct optical link between switches, servers or NICs without separate transceivers. Its active optical design supports low latency and low power consumption while providing immunity to electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for short-reach high-speed interconnects in data centers and server rooms.

Advantages

This 5 m BlueOptics SFP28 active optical cable delivers consistent 25Gbps bandwidth with reduced signal loss compared to copper alternatives. The integrated optics eliminate the need for separate transceiver modules, simplifying installation and inventory. The cable’s optical transmission reduces susceptibility to EMI and crosstalk and contributes to lower power draw per link. Its factory-terminated design ensures predictable performance and quick deployment in rack-to-rack or server-to-switch connections.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25Gbps links between switches in data center racks
• Server-to-top-of-rack or server-to-switch interconnects
• High-density network environments requiring compact, low-power cabling
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is important

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 active optical cable
• Data rate: 25 Gbps per link
• Length: 5 metres
• Connector type: SFP28 on both ends (factory-terminated)
• Optical medium: active multimode optical assembly
• Typical use: short-reach interconnects in data centers and server rooms
• Power characteristics: low power per link compared to equivalent copper solutions

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the appropriate SFP28 port on the network devices until the latch clicks. Ensure both ends are seated in compatible SFP28 ports and that devices are powered off or follow hot-plug guidelines provided by the equipment vendor. After insertion, verify link status through switch or server management interfaces and confirm that the link negotiates at 25Gbps. Route the cable within the rack to avoid sharp bends and maintain the specified minimum bend radius to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

Use this active optical cable for intra-rack or short inter-rack 25Gbps connections where reduced EMI, lower power, and simplified inventory are priorities. Avoid excessive bending, kinking or tensile stress; store and handle with the factory protective caps when not in use. Confirm firmware and compatibility notes on host devices to ensure full interoperability with SFP28 ports.
