Elinchrom Shallow strieborný dáždnik 105 cm

Elinchrom Shallow silver 105 cm umbrella is a studio light modifier with a shallow profile and a reflective silver interior. With a 105 cm diameter it produces focused, high-contrast illumination that tightens beam spread compared with deep umbrellas. The design is intended for use with studio flash heads and strobes to create controlled highlights, defined shadow transitions and a more concentrated light pattern for portraits, product photography and controlled studio setups.

Advantages

The shallow shape and silver reflective surface increase contrast and specular highlights while retaining a relatively compact size for easier positioning in studio environments. The 105 cm diameter balances coverage and control, delivering a cleaner edge to the light compared with larger, softer umbrellas. Construction suitable for repeated mounting on standard studio heads provides reliable alignment and consistent light output during production shoots.

Suitable for

• Portrait photography where defined catchlights and contrast are desired
• Product and still-life photography requiring concentrated, high-contrast illumination
• Studio setups needing a directional modifier with controlled falloff
• Photographers seeking a compact alternative to larger softboxes while keeping specular highlights

Key specifications

• Type: shallow reflective umbrella
• Interior finish: silver reflective surface for increased contrast
• Diameter: 105 cm
• Profile: shallow / reduced depth for tighter beam spread
• Compatibility: designed for use with studio flash heads and strobes
• Mounting: fits standard umbrella holders used on studio stands

How to use

Mount the umbrella into the studio head's umbrella bracket and secure it according to the flash head manufacturer's instructions. Position the reflective (silver) interior facing the subject; use the umbrella at various distances from the subject to control intensity and falloff. Angle and height adjustments of the umbrella will change catchlight placement and shadow direction. When using multiple lights, test relative power settings to balance contrast and fill. Allow time for small adjustments during test shots to achieve the desired highlight definition and shadow separation.

Recommendations

Use the umbrella without diffusion when specular highlights and crisp contrast are required; add a diffusion sock or use a fill light if softer, more even illumination is needed. Maintain a secure connection to the light head and avoid exposing the umbrella to strong wind or mechanical strain. Clean the silver surface gently with a soft, dry cloth to preserve reflective properties.
