Optický kábel Alcasa LW-830SC5 30 m SC zelený

The Alcasa LW-830SC5 30 m SC Green is a 30-metre OM5 multimode fibre optic cable with SC connectors on both ends. Designed for short- to medium-range high-bandwidth links, this green-coloured cable uses a 50 µm core diameter to support high-speed data transmission and dense multimode applications. It is intended for structured cabling, patching in equipment racks, and connections inside data centres where consistent optical performance and compatibility with SC interfaces are needed.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable provides improved bandwidth capacity for multimode applications compared with older multimode types, while maintaining low insertion loss and stable attenuation over the 30 m length. The SC duplex connectors deliver reliable, easy-to-install push-pull mating and consistent alignment for repeatable connections. The green outer jacket helps with visual identification in mixed-cable environments and simplifies cable management in rack or conduit installations.

Suitable for

• Patch connections between switches, transceivers and patch panels in data centres
• High-bandwidth multimode links for enterprise networks and server rooms
• Interconnects in structured cabling within buildings and equipment racks
• Short- to medium-distance optical links requiring SC connector compatibility

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Length: 30 m
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (duplex)
• Jacket colour: Green
• Typical application: Short- to medium-range high-bandwidth multimode links

How to use

Route the Alcasa LW-830SC5 cable carefully through cable trays or along rack channels to avoid excessive bending and mechanical stress. Ensure both SC connectors are clean and free of dust or debris prior to mating; use appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Align and insert the SC connectors into the corresponding SC ports until they click into place. Verify optical link integrity with a compatible transceiver and test equipment to confirm acceptable insertion loss and signal levels before finalising cable management.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable within recommended bend radius limits and avoid sharp bends. Use dust caps on unused connectors and perform regular inspection and cleaning to maintain consistent optical performance. Choose OM5-capable transceivers and equipment when planning high-bandwidth multimode links to fully utilise the cable's characteristics.
