Sieťový kábel Alcasa 40 m Cat6 S/FTP

The Alcasa 40m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable provides a 40 metre connection line designed for wired Ethernet installations that require Cat6 performance. The cable uses S/FTP shielding to minimise electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and it terminates in RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain consistent signal transfer. The grey outer jacket identifies the cable visually while keeping a neutral appearance suitable for home and office environments.

Advantages

S/FTP construction combines an overall braid shield with individually shielded twisted pairs to improve resistance to external noise and internal pair-to-pair interference. Cat6 specification supports higher data rates and bandwidth compared with earlier categories, making it suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and many modern network applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts offer reliable contact conductivity and reduced corrosion risk over time, contributing to stable long-term connections.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Wired Gigabit Ethernet connections between switches, routers, and computers
• High-speed data transfer for home media servers and NAS devices
• Cabled office networks with multiple workstations and PoE devices
• Structured cabling runs requiring 40 m cable lengths

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 40 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Route the Alcasa Cat6 S/FTP cable between the network devices you wish to connect, avoiding tight bends and excessive pulling tension. Terminate each end using the pre-attached RJ-45 connectors by plugging them into compatible Ethernet ports on switches, routers, computers, or other networking equipment. For permanent installations, secure the cable along cable trays or trunking and maintain separation from high-voltage power lines where possible to reduce interference risks.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep cable runs within recommended maximum lengths for Ethernet standards, protect connectors from moisture and mechanical stress, and avoid running the cable parallel to power cables for extended distances. Use compatible Cat6 or higher network equipment to take full advantage of the cable's bandwidth and shielding features.
