Sieťový kábel Alcasa Cat. 6 S/FTP 0,5 m

The Networking Cable Alcasa Cat. 6 S/FTP 0.5m is a short, shielded Ethernet patch cable designed for reliable local network connections. With Cat 6 performance and S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair) construction, this 0.5 m red cable reduces electromagnetic interference and supports high-speed data transfer between devices. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide stable contact and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for desktop, rack, or home networking patching where a compact cable run is needed.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding around each twisted pair and an overall foil shield improves signal integrity in environments with potential interference from nearby equipment or power lines. The Cat 6 design supports higher frequencies and data rates compared with lower category cables, while gold-plated RJ-45 plugs ensure low contact resistance and durable mating cycles. The compact 0.5 m length prevents cable clutter and is convenient for short patch runs between switches, patch panels, and devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting network devices in racks and cabinets where short patch cables are required
• Desktop connections between PC, switch, or router in a confined workspace
• Temporary or permanent short links in home or small office networks
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference due to S/FTP shielding

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded twisted pairs)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Connector plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Red

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices until the latch clicks. Use the 0.5 m cable for short runs between network equipment such as switches, patch panels, routers, and desktop computers. Ensure both ends are seated fully to achieve a reliable connection; avoid excessive bending near the connector boot to maintain shielding and conductor integrity.

Recommendations

For best performance, route the S/FTP cable away from strong power sources and large transformers where possible. Verify that connected devices and ports support Cat 6 speeds for optimal throughput. Use the short 0.5 m length to reduce cable mess in racks and behind desks, and replace cables showing visible damage to the jacket or connectors.
