How to use

Strip the outer jacket and shield of the Cat5e stranded STP cable to the correct length, fold back or terminate the drain wire and shield as required by the connector design, arrange the individual conductors in the chosen wiring standard (T568A or T568B), and insert the wires fully into the RJ45 plug until they reach the end. Use an appropriate crimping tool compatible with shielded RJ45 plugs to crimp and secure the connector. Verify continuity and pair wiring with a network cable tester after termination.

Recommendations

Use a crimping tool rated for shielded RJ45 plugs and preserve the cable shield continuity by correctly seating and crimping the shield/drain wire. Test each terminated cable with a cable tester before putting into service. Store unused plugs in a dry environment to avoid contamination of contacts.
