InfiniBand/optický kábel BlueOptics 980-9I08K-00W003-BO QSFP-DD AOC 3 m modrý

The BlueOptics 980-9I08K-00W003-BO QSFP-DD AOC 3 m Blue is a 3 m active optical cable (AOC) designed for InfiniBand and high-speed fibre optic interconnects. It features QSFP-DD connectors on both ends and is intended for low-latency, high-throughput links in data center and high-performance computing environments. The cable combines optical transmission with a durable stainless steel-reinforced jacket and a blue outer sheath for easy identification in dense cabling setups.

Advantages

This AOC provides high data-transfer rates with low latency suitable for demanding networking and compute clusters. The QSFP-DD connectors enable multi-lane, high-density port compatibility while the optical design removes the need for electrical copper traces across the link, reducing electromagnetic interference. The stainless steel reinforcement improves mechanical durability and longevity in rack and cabinet environments, and the 3 m length suits many standard rack-to-rack or switch-to-server connections.

Suitable for

• Data center switch-to-switch and switch-to-server connections
• High-performance computing clusters and InfiniBand fabrics
• Low-latency storage networks and database backends
• High-density rack installations requiring identifiable cabling

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 m
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Connectors: QSFP-DD to QSFP-DD
• Weight: 0.23 kg
• Outer colour and finish: Blue with stainless steel reinforcement

How to use

Ensure both ends of the BlueOptics QSFP-DD AOC match QSFP-DD ports on your devices and that devices support the required InfiniBand or Fibre Channel protocol and speed. Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to preserve optical performance. Insert the QSFP-DD modules into the port until they latch securely and verify link status on connected devices. For removal, release the latch mechanism and pull straight out without twisting to avoid stressing the connector or cable.

Recommendations

Position the cable to minimize crossing and strain in high-density racks, label both ends for quick identification, and avoid routing near high-heat sources. Regularly inspect connectors for dust or debris and use protective caps when ports are not in use. For best performance, confirm firmware and driver compatibility on connected equipment and adhere to the specified cable length for intended link budgets.
