Kôš na HDD Icy Dock MB607SP-B

The Icy Dock ToughArmor MB607SP-B is a full-metal quad-bay 2.5" SATA 6Gbps hot-swap mobile rack designed to fit a single external 5.25" bay. It accepts four 2.5" SAS/SATA HDDs or SSDs (5mm–15mm) and uses a standard 15-pin SATA power connector. The enclosure features a single rear 40mm cooling fan with a 3-mode fan speed control and individual drive LEDs with Active Power Technology (APT) to power LEDs and fan only when drives are present. Constructed from rugged metal, the MB607SP-B is suitable for industrial, medical, military and embedded systems where durable, compact storage is required.

Advantages

The all-metal construction provides enhanced durability and improved heat resistance compared with plastic designs, while the compact quad-bay layout maximises drive density in a single 5.25" bay. Hot-swap support and EZ Slide Mini Trays allow quick drive replacement without tools. Individual drive LEDs with APT reduce unnecessary power use, and the 3-mode fan control balances cooling performance and noise depending on drive type. The use of a 15-pin SATA power connector improves compatibility and reduces cable clutter.

Suitable for

• Compact desktop or small form factor PCs requiring multiple 2.5" drives
• Industrial, medical or military systems with rugged storage needs
• Embedded systems and factory automation with limited internal space
• RAID arrays (e.g., RAID 5 or RAID 10) built into systems with few 5.25" bays

Key specifications

• Drive bays: 4 × 2.5" (SAS/SATA), supports 5mm–15mm height
• Interface: SATA 6Gbps (data 7-pin, power 15-pin)
• Form factor: fits single external 5.25" bay
• Cooling: 1 × 40mm rear fan with 3-mode speed control
• Construction: full metal, black finish
• Weight: approx. 0.837–0.911 kg (product data lists 0.837 kg and 911.2 g)
• Certifications: RoHS compliant

How to use

Install the MB607SP-B into an available external 5.25" bay following your chassis instructions. Insert 2.5" drives into the EZ Slide Mini Trays and slide each tray into the enclosure until it locks. Connect a 7-pin SATA data cable and a 15-pin SATA power cable (with latch) to the corresponding rear connectors; the locking latches secure cables in place. Select the fan speed mode appropriate for your drives (off/low/high) and monitor drive status via the front LEDs. Drives can be hot-swapped—power down only if your system or OS requires it.

Recommendations

For optimal cooling and longevity use higher fan mode with mechanical HDDs and low or off fan mode for SSD-only configurations. Label drive trays to track RAID membership or important data, and ensure your chassis provides sufficient airflow when multiple enclosures are installed.
