Lenovo 4Z57A10848 InfiniBand/sklenené vlákno kábel 5 m 2x LC modrý

The Lenovo 4Z57A10848 is a 5 m OM4 fibre optic cable with dual LC connectors on both ends, engineered for high-bandwidth, low-loss links in data centre and enterprise networks. Its OM4 multimode fibre supports enhanced modal bandwidth for reliable short- to medium-distance transmission, while the 5 metre length offers straightforward routing between switches, patch panels and transceivers. The cable's factory-terminated LC duplex connectors ensure consistent connector geometry and reduced insertion loss compared with field-terminated assemblies.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable delivers higher bandwidth and improved performance over OM3 for multimode applications, enabling greater data throughput and supporting higher-speed transceivers. The duplex LC-to-LC termination reduces connector bulk and simplifies port density in racks. The cable assembly is built for signal integrity with precise polishing and low insertion loss, and the 5 m length balances reach and manageability for typical rack-to-rack or equipment-to-patch panel runs.

Suitable for

• Data centre interconnects between switches, servers and patch panels
• High-speed Ethernet and Fibre Channel links in enterprise networks
• Connections to multimode transceivers (LC duplex)
• Structured cabling runs in telecom rooms and wiring closets

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode fibre
• Length: 5 metres
• Connector type: LC duplex on both ends
• Polish type: factory-terminated polished connectors for low insertion loss
• Application: designed for high-bandwidth multimode links and short-to-medium distance transmission

How to use

Route the cable between the intended ports avoiding tight bends and excessive tensile stress; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the fibre manufacturer to prevent increased attenuation. Insert LC duplex connectors into compatible LC ports on switches, transceivers or patch panels until the latch clicks. For best performance, keep connector end faces clean using appropriate fibre-optic cleaning tools, and verify link integrity using optical test equipment after installation.

Recommendations

Store and handle the OM4 fibre cable in a clean environment, protect connectors with dust caps when not in use, and label both ends to simplify maintenance. Use the 5 m length for in-rack and short cross-rack runs; for longer distances verify link budget and transceiver compatibility before deployment.
