Mono 6,3 mm jack konektor ShiverPeaks 50800-G pozlátený

The Mono 6.3 mm jack connector ShiverPeaks 50800-G gold-plated is a single-channel audio connector designed for reliable signal transmission in instruments, amplifiers, mixers and patch panels. Its metal housing and gold-plated contact surfaces offer improved conductivity and corrosion resistance compared to unplated alternatives. The connector is intended for use when repairing or assembling audio cables and for professional audio installations that require a standard 6.3 mm mono jack interface.

Advantages

The gold-plated contact reduces oxidation and ensures a stable electrical connection, while the metal body provides mechanical durability and shielding from electromagnetic interference. The connector's standard size and form factor guarantee compatibility with most 6.3 mm mono jacks used in audio equipment. Its construction supports repeated mating cycles and maintains signal integrity during regular use.

Suitable for

• Repairing instrument cables (guitar, keyboard) and replacing worn plugs
• Building custom audio cables for stage and studio applications
• Connecting mono outputs to amplifiers, DI boxes and mixers
• Patch panels and rack-mounted audio equipment requiring 6.3 mm mono connections

Key specifications

• Connector type: mono 6.3 mm (1/4") jack
• Contact finish: gold-plated for improved corrosion resistance and conductivity
• Housing: metal for mechanical strength and partial shielding
• Contact configuration: single-channel (tip and sleeve)
• Use: for soldering or mechanical cable termination depending on variant

How to use

Prepare the cable by stripping the outer jacket and separating the conductor(s) and shield. If the connector variant requires soldering, tin the conductor and sleeve before positioning them on the respective contact points and perform secure solder joints. For connectors with screw or clamp terminations, follow the manufacturer's assembly sequence to ensure firm mechanical contact. After assembly, test the connection with an audio source and amplifier to verify continuity and correct channel operation.

Recommendations

Use appropriate soldering tools and heat control to avoid damaging the connector plating. When assembling cables for live or professional use, perform a continuity and short-circuit test and strain-relief the cable to extend service life.
