The Kathrein EXR 2508 Grey multiswitch distributes four satellite levels along with terrestrial signals to up to eight receivers. It has one terrestrial input and four satellite inputs, with eight outputs, and operates across the 47–862 MHz frequency range. The unit includes an integral amplifier and pre-emphasis to compensate for cable attenuation, features high isolation between outputs, and is intended for indoor installation. The multiswitch accepts remote power feeding on the horizontal low inputs and allows terrestrial reception even when satellite receivers are switched off.

How to use

Connect the four satellite inputs and the terrestrial input to the corresponding feeds. Run coaxial cables from the eight outputs to the receivers, ensuring F-type connectors are properly tightened. Control each receiver’s feed polarity and band using the receiver’s 14/18 V and 0/22 kHz commands sent over the coax. If remote feeding is required, provide power via the horizontal low inputs; other inputs remain voltage-free to allow compatibility with control systems such as UAS 485/585. Mount the unit indoors in a dry, ventilated location and follow local regulations for mains connection.
