Okulár Vixen NPL 20mm 1,25" — astronomický okulár, ohnisková vzdialenosť 20 mm, 1,25" objímka (model 39206)

The Vixen NPL 20mm 1.25" eyepiece is an astronomical eyepiece with a 20 mm focal length and a standard 1.25-inch barrel designed for telescopes that accept 1.25" eyepieces. It delivers medium-power views that balance field of view and magnification, making it suitable for detailed observation of the Moon and planets as well as for enhancing mid-range views of brighter deep-sky objects. The eyepiece is compact and easy to install, intended for hobbyist and amateur astronomers seeking a reliable, straightforward ocular for general observing sessions.

Advantages

The optical design provides a clear image at 20 mm focal length while maintaining a comfortable exit pupil and usable field of view on most Newtonian, refractor and Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes that accept 1.25" eyepieces. The 1.25-inch barrel ensures compatibility with a wide range of focusers and diagonal adapters. Its compact form factor makes it convenient to carry and swap during observing sessions, and the construction is aimed at durable everyday use under field conditions.

Suitable for

• Planetary and lunar observation at medium magnification
• Mid-range views of bright deep-sky objects (open clusters, some nebulae, brighter galaxies)
• General-purpose observing during public outreach and amateur sessions
• Telescopes with 1.25" eyepiece holders, including many refractors, Newtonians and SCTs

Key specifications

• Focal length: 20 mm
• Barrel diameter: 1.25 inches (standard)
• Intended use: astronomical eyepiece for visual observation
• Form factor: compact, lightweight ocular

How to use

Insert the 1.25" barrel into your telescope's focuser or diagonal and secure it with the focuser thumbscrew. Achieve focus by adjusting the focuser while observing a bright target such as the Moon or a bright star; fine-tune focus slowly to obtain the sharpest image. For planetary detail, allow your telescope to reach thermal equilibrium and use appropriate magnification by combining this eyepiece with your telescope’s focal length. Clean the lenses with appropriate optical cleaning materials when necessary and store the eyepiece in a protective case when not in use.

Recommendations

Use the Vixen NPL 20mm eyepiece as a mid-power option in an eyepiece set: pair it with a lower-power wide-field eyepiece for star-hopping and a higher-power eyepiece for fine planetary detail. For best results, collimate reflectors and let your instrument cool to ambient temperature before detailed observing.
