Optický kábel S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77938/4 3m

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 77938/4 is a 3-meter OM4 fibre optic cable equipped with LC and SC connectors. Designed for high‑speed network environments, this multimode cable has a 50 µm core diameter and supports full duplex data transmission to maintain reliable, low‑loss optical links over moderate distances. The cable is suitable for structured cabling, patching between equipment and optical distribution frames, and connecting switches, transceivers and other fibre‑optic devices that use LC and SC terminations.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable provides improved bandwidth and lower modal dispersion compared with lower grade multimode fibres, enabling higher data rates and more stable signal integrity. The mixed LC/SC connector configuration allows compatibility with a range of network ports and patch panels. At 3 meters length the cable offers flexible placement in rack and desktop environments while reducing excess slack. Full duplex capability ensures simultaneous bidirectional communication for standard networking and telecommunication applications.

Suitable for

• High-speed LAN and data centre patching between switches, transceivers and panels
• Connections between optical distribution frames and active network equipment
• Short- to medium-distance multimode links in enterprise networks
• Installations requiring LC to SC connectivity

Key specifications

• Length: 3 m
• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector types: LC on one end, SC on the other
• Transmission mode: full duplex

How to use

Inspect both connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and clean if necessary using appropriate fibre cleaning tools. Plug the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC port, ensuring correct alignment and a secure fit; do not force connectors. Route the cable along existing cable management paths to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, and maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the equipment manufacturer. Verify link integrity and performance using optical test equipment or by checking the connected devices for proper link status.

Recommendations

Store unused cables coiled loosely to avoid permanent kinks. For best optical performance, keep connector endfaces protected with dust caps when not connected and avoid exceeding recommended bend radii. Use this OM4 cable where multimode high‑bandwidth short‑reach connections are required, and pair it with compatible LC and SC hardware for reliable operation.
