Optický kábel S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77943

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 77943 is a 3 m OM2 multimode fibre optic cable with LC and ST connectors designed for full-duplex data transmission. Featuring a 50 µm core diameter, this fibre cable is suited for short- to medium-distance network links where stable, high-speed optical connections are required. Its connector combination provides compatibility with a wide range of networking equipment used in data centres, telecommunications rooms and industrial communication setups.

Advantages

This OM2 fibre cable offers predictable multimode performance with a 50 µm core that supports common Ethernet and fibre channel standards for short-range links. The combination of LC and ST connectors ensures broad compatibility with existing hardware while the full-duplex configuration allows simultaneous bidirectional data flow for efficient network traffic handling. The 3 m length balances flexibility and signal integrity for patching and direct interconnect applications.

Suitable for

• Patch panels and rack-to-rack connections in data centres
• Connections between switches, routers and transceivers supporting multimode fibre
• Telecommunications rooms and structured cabling backbones for short to medium runs
• Industrial and laboratory environments requiring reliable optical links

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM2 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 3 m
• Connector types: LC to ST
• Transmission mode: full duplex

How to use

Insert the LC connector into the corresponding LC port and the ST connector into the corresponding ST port on your devices, ensuring connectors are clean and free of dust before mating. Align and insert until you feel the connector engage; for ST connectors rotate or lock according to the connector design if applicable. Verify link status through your network devices and test optical power or link diagnostics if available to confirm proper signal levels and performance.

Recommendations

Store and handle the fibre cable by avoiding tight bending, excessive pulling force, or crushing; follow the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius for multimode fibre and keep connector endfaces protected when not in use. Clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools prior to installation to maintain signal integrity and reduce insertion loss.
