Optický kábel S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77943/3

The Fibre optic cable S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77943/3 is a 3 m multimode OM3 patch cable featuring LC and ST connectors and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for full duplex operation, this cable supports high-speed data transmission and is suitable for environments requiring reliable optical links. The OM3 multimode specification ensures compatibility with short-range data center and network applications while providing improved bandwidth over older multimode types.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable delivers stable full duplex connections and low signal loss across the link. The combination of LC and ST connectors enables flexible interfacing with a variety of network equipment. The OM3 multimode specification and 50 µm core diameter allow for higher modal bandwidth and efficient coupling with typical multimode transceivers. The cable construction is designed for durability in rack and patch panel installations, offering consistent performance for InfiniBand and other high-speed interconnects.

Suitable for

• Short-range data centre links and server interconnects
• InfiniBand host and switch connections
• Network patch panels and equipment with LC or ST ports
• High-speed full duplex optical links in enterprise networks

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 m
• Multimode grade: OM3
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector types: LC to ST
• Operation mode: Full duplex

How to use

Confirm that the connected equipment supports multimode OM3 fibre and that ports accept LC and ST terminations. Align and insert the LC connector into the LC receptacle and the ST connector into the ST socket, ensuring secure seating and that locking mechanisms (if present) are engaged. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends or tight loops that could increase attenuation; maintain bend radii recommended by the equipment or cable manufacturer. For full duplex operation, use separate transmit and receive ports as required by your hardware configuration.

Recommendations

Handle the fibre ends carefully and keep dust caps on unused connectors until installation. Inspect connectors for contamination and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Avoid stepping on or crushing the cable, and secure it in cable management fixtures to prevent strain on connectors. Select OM3-compatible transceivers for optimal performance in InfiniBand and short-range Ethernet applications.
