Optický kábel SC 1m ShiverPeaks 77915/4

The ShiverPeaks 77915/4 fibre optic cable is a 1-metre OM4 multimode link with SC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for short-range high-bandwidth connections, this cable supports full duplex transmission to enable simultaneous bidirectional data flow. The OM4 specification and multimode construction make it suitable for high-performance networking equipment where minimal signal attenuation and reliable throughput are required.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides consistent high-speed data transfer with low insertion loss and strong immunity to electromagnetic interference. The SC connectors ensure secure, repeatable connections and straightforward installation. The OM4 multimode grade and 50 µm core allow compatibility with common transceivers and network switches used in data centre and enterprise environments. Its 1 metre length reduces excess cable slack while maintaining sufficient reach for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment links.

Suitable for

• Short-range high-bandwidth links in data centres and server rooms
• Connections between switches, patch panels, and transceivers
• Enterprise network backbones and structured cabling segments
• High-speed storage area network (SAN) connections requiring multimode OM4 cabling

Key specifications

• Cable type: Multimode fibre (OM4)
• Connector type: SC to SC, duplex
• Length: 1 metre
• Core diameter: 50 µm (micrometres)
• Transmission: Full duplex
• Typical use: Short-range, high-bandwidth multimode links

How to use

Verify that both connected devices use compatible multimode transceivers and SC interfaces. Route the 1 m cable without sharp bends and secure it with appropriate cable management to avoid stress on the connectors. Align and insert each SC connector into the socket until it clicks or seats firmly; repeat for the opposite end. Test the link with suitable diagnostic tools or monitoring software to confirm signal strength and error rates before placing the connection into production.

Recommendations

Store the cable in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use and protect connector endfaces with dust caps. Clean connectors with approved fibre cleaning tools before insertion to maintain optimal performance. For longer runs or different performance requirements, consider matching cable type and transceiver specifications to system needs.
