Optický kábel ST fialový 5 m ShiverPeaks 77904/4

This 5 m OM4 fibre optic cable with ST connectors on both ends is designed for high-speed, full-duplex data transmission over short to medium distances. With a 50 µm core diameter and OM4 multimode specification, the cable supports enhanced bandwidth and lower attenuation compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, making it suitable for demanding network links in data centres and high-performance computing environments.

Advantages

The ST Violet 5 m cable provides reliable optical transmission with stable connectors for repeated mating cycles and consistent signal integrity. OM4 multimode fibre improves modal bandwidth and supports higher data rates, which helps maintain performance in dense network installations. The 5 metre length offers a balance between flexibility and minimal excess cable in rack-mounted or confined setups.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between switches, servers and storage systems in data centres
• High-performance computing clusters and server rooms
• Short-to-medium distance multimode fibre links within telecommunication closets
• Laboratory and test bench environments requiring OM4 performance

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: ST to ST (both ends)
• Length: 5 m
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Violet

How to use

Connect each ST connector into the corresponding ST adapter or port, ensuring proper alignment of the bayonet coupling. Handle the fibre by the connectors and avoid bending the cable beyond its minimum bend radius to prevent signal loss. For best results, keep connectors clean and free from dust; use appropriate fibre cleaning tools before connection. Route the cable to avoid tight corners and secure it to cable management paths to reduce mechanical stress.

Recommendations

Use this OM4 ST fibre cable for multimode links where higher bandwidth and reduced modal dispersion are required. For long-distance or single-mode requirements, select an appropriate single-mode fibre. Regularly inspect and clean connectors and maintain proper strain relief during installation to ensure long-term performance.
