SFP+ kábel BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-MT-BO 25m konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-MT-BO is a 25 m active optical cable with SFP+ male connectors on both ends, engineered for high-speed 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over short to medium distances. Designed for use in data centers and enterprise network environments, this orange-coloured cable provides a lightweight, flexible connection option that minimizes electromagnetic interference and supports stable, low-latency data transmission between SFP+ ports.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers the bandwidth required for 10 Gbps links while offering the flexibility and reduced weight of fiber-based cabling. Its SFP+ male connectors enable plug-and-play compatibility with standard SFP+ ports, and the optical medium reduces susceptibility to electrical interference compared with copper alternatives. The 25 m length allows placement of network devices at a greater distance without the need for intermediate transceivers or patching panels.

Suitable for

• Direct SFP+ connections between switches, routers, servers, and storage units within racks or between adjacent server rooms
• High-density data center interconnects where space, weight, and signal integrity are important
• Enterprise backbone links and aggregation layers requiring 10 Gigabit throughput

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Data rate: Supports 10 Gbps links compatible with SFP+ interfaces
• Length: 25 meters
• Connectors: SFP+ male on both ends
• Colour: Orange
• Weight: Approximately 0.15 kg

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the SFP+ port of the devices to be linked, ensuring the retention latch engages. Verify that devices are powered and configured to enable the corresponding 10 Gbps ports. The active optical cable is hot-pluggable in most network equipment; allow the connected devices to recognize the link and adjust interface settings as required in the network management system. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and avoid exposure to excessive tension or sharp kinks. Use the 25 m cable for short- to medium-range links where optical isolation and reduced EMI are beneficial. Confirm compatibility with device firmware and SFP+ port requirements before deployment, and keep connectors covered when not in use to protect optical endfaces from contamination.
