SFP28 AOC kábel BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-BR-BO 15m konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-BR-BO is a 15 m active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for 25 Gbps class high-speed data transmission over multimode fiber. Built to MSA SFP28 form-factor compatibility, this cable integrates transceivers at each end to convert electrical signals to optical signals and back, enabling reliable, low-latency connections between switches, servers and storage in data center and high-performance computing environments.

Advantages

This active optical cable provides a compact, lightweight alternative to separate transceivers and fiber patch cords, reducing cabling complexity and rack space. Its integrated transmitter and receiver modules support standard 25G applications, delivering consistent signal quality over the 15 m link while minimizing electromagnetic interference. The dual SFP28 male ends ensure straightforward hot-pluggable compatibility with equipment that accepts SFP28 AOC connections.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between rack-mount switches and servers within a single data hall
• High-performance computing clusters requiring 25G links
• Storage area networks and SAN uplinks supporting 25G connectivity
• Short-reach backbone connections inside data centers and telecom rooms

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated transceivers
• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Nominal link length: 15 meters
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbps per link
• Optical medium: multimode fiber with onboard optical transceivers
• Form factor compatibility: SFP28 MSA

How to use

Insert each SFP28 end into the corresponding SFP28 port on the network devices until the connector latches. Ensure both endpoints support SFP28 AOC modules and that device firmware or drivers allow SFP28 links at 25 Gbps. After insertion, verify link synchronization and speed via device management interfaces or LED indicators. For removal, release the latch and pull the connector straight out to avoid bending the cable.

Recommendations

Install and route the cable to avoid sharp bends and physical stress; observe the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode optical assemblies. Use this 15 m AOC for in-rack or across-row connections rather than long-haul deployments. Confirm compatibility with your network equipment and, if possible, test the link in your environment prior to large-scale deployment.
