Sieťový kábel Gembird 305m Cat5e FTP sivý F/UTP

The Gembird 305m Cat5e FTP Grey F/UTP networking cable is a 305-meter un-terminated cable designed for structured cabling installations. It implements Cat5e performance over a long reel and features F/UTP (foil over unshielded twisted pair) shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. The grey outer jacket provides a neutral visual appearance suitable for residential and commercial wiring runs where a long continuous length is required.

Advantages

This Cat5e FTP cable delivers consistent performance for Ethernet networks up to 1 Gbps where Cat5e standards are applicable. The F/UTP construction offers improved immunity to external noise compared with plain UTP cable, which helps maintain signal integrity in environments with electrical equipment or nearby cabling. Supplied as a 305 m spool, it allows flexible routing and termination to custom lengths without pre-attached connectors.

Suitable for

• LAN installations in homes and small offices
• Patch panel to wall outlet runs in structured cabling
• Temporary or permanent network cabling for workstations and network devices
• Environments where additional shielding helps reduce interference

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e
• Shielding: F/UTP (foil shield around twisted pairs)
• Length: 305 m
• Colour: Grey
• Termination: un-terminated (no connectors attached)

How to use

Measure and plan the cable route before cutting the required length from the reel. Strip the outer jacket carefully to expose the twisted pairs and maintain the integrity of the foil shield during preparation. Terminate the pairs with appropriate Cat5e RJ45 connectors or keystone jacks following the chosen wiring standard (T568A or T568B). Test each terminated cable with a network cable tester to verify continuity, pair order and shielding effectiveness before putting the network into service.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to power lines or fluorescent lighting for extended distances. Maintain bend radius recommendations during installation, and use proper grounding for shielded cabling at a single point to ensure the foil shield is effective. Use Cat5e-compliant connectors and components to preserve the cable's specifications.
