Sieťový kábel HAMA Classic Line CAT-8 40 Gbit/s, dĺžka 1,50 m

Shielded CAT-8 network cable from HAMA's Classic Line, 1.50 m in length, designed for very high data rates up to 40 Gbit/s. The cable features enhanced shielding and twisted-pair construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity over short runs. It is intended for high-performance LAN connections, server links and short backbone segments where low latency and high throughput are required.

Advantages

The cable delivers support for 40 Gbit/s transmission speeds and improved shielding compared with lower CAT categories, which reduces crosstalk and external interference in crowded network environments. Its 1.50 m length is suited to rack-mounted equipment and desktop setups where short, reliable connections are needed. The product is backward-compatible with earlier Ethernet standards, enabling flexible integration with existing infrastructure while preserving signal quality.

Suitable for

• Short-distance links between switches, routers and servers
• High-speed LAN connections in offices and data closets
• Backbone segments inside racks and cabinets
• Applications requiring reduced electromagnetic interference and stable throughput

Key specifications

• Cable category: CAT-8 (shielded)
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 40 Gbit/s
• Length: 1.50 m
• Conductor type: twisted pair, shielded construction
• Typical use: short high-speed LAN and server connections

How to use

Connect the cable between compatible network devices such as routers, switches, network interface cards or servers. Ensure connectors are fully inserted into the RJ45 ports and that both ends are mated with shielded RJ45 sockets if available to preserve the cable’s shielding benefits. Route the cable without sharp bends or excessive tension and avoid running it parallel to high-power electrical lines to minimize interference. For rack installations, secure the cable to avoid strain on connectors.

Recommendations

Use this shielded CAT-8 cable for short, high-throughput links where maximum signal integrity is necessary. For runs longer than the recommended distance for 40 Gbit/s operation, consider alternate cabling strategies or optical connections. Maintain proper grounding of shielded connectors and compatible equipment to fully benefit from the cable’s interference protection.
