Sieťový kábel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 5m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 5m networking cable provides a 5-metre connection designed for high-speed Ethernet networks. Constructed with S/FTP shielding and terminated with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, this cable is intended to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain stable signal transmission. Its yellow jacket improves visibility within patch panels and cable runs, helping to simplify identification and routing in home, office, and data center environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines a foil shield around each pair with an overall braided shield to minimize crosstalk and external interference, supporting reliable data throughput over typical Cat6 distances. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs improve contact quality and corrosion resistance for consistent performance over repeated insertions. The 5 m length provides a balance between flexibility and reach for most desktop-to-switch or rack-to-equipment connections, while the distinct yellow color aids in visual management of network cabling.

Suitable for

• Wired Gigabit Ethernet connections in homes and offices
• Connections between switches, routers, and network devices within racks
• Temporary and permanent patching in small server rooms
• Structured cabling where identification of cable runs is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (individual pair foil + overall braided shield)
• Length: 5 meters
• Connectors: RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: Yellow
• Designed frequency range: up to 250 MHz

How to use

Route the cable between network ports, ensuring the minimum bend radius is respected to avoid damaging internal pairs and shielding. Insert RJ-45 connectors into device ports until the latch clicks to secure the connection. For installations in managed racks or conduits, label both ends if needed and avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines to reduce potential interference. If using cable management panels, secure the cable to prevent strain on connector ends.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable within typical Cat6 distance limits for the intended network speed and avoid sharp bends or compression. Maintain separation from power cabling and sources of strong electromagnetic noise. Periodically inspect connectors for corrosion or damage and replace the cable if physical wear or impaired performance is observed.
